Hi Everyone,
Lyne & Greg on Dolphin, a 1985 Cal 33-2
We bought the boat in 2021 in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island / Lake Huron, our friend Steve, whom had experience sailing Huron, help us sail it home to Sarnia at the base of the lake. Great adventure !
I've sailed on/off since I was young; Hobie 14, Sandpiper 565, Hobie 16, club racing crew, centre board Omegas (for some fast tacs & gybes with an odd flip over, compared to a cat), etc
And now to the big boats for some adventure in our "senior" years !
We're fixing her up
Looking forward to helping out on the Cal Sailors Forum !

I gave up my Cal33-2 two years ago. We were the original owners from 1986. I miss Quantum Evolution so much, but reality must be observed. I love seeing the pictures of your Cal. Mine had the heights of my children as they grew up marked on the mast below decks. We lived aboard for two years and it was a joy to go on vacation without packing -- just buy some food supplies and untie the dock lines. We went all the way up the Hudson River and anchored near the Army Academy. Our favorite anchorage was across from Haverstraw at the Croton State Park -- wonderful beach and no fee as we dinghied into the shore!
Bear Mountain was also a favorite anchorage. This is where they laid a chain across the river to keep the British from advancing, but after the war they built a gorgeous lodge and you could anchor, dinghy into the dock, and hike up to the lodge for a glorious meal and then retreat to sleep in the serenity of a quiet spot in the river.
Anywhere above Croton was swimmable water with no pollution.
Please post more pictures so I can enjoy your Cal 33-2 and relive my memories!!
