One thing that seems to apply to all sailors is our willingness or even enthusiasm to share our sailing stories. As kids growing up I'm sure we learned as much from listening to our fellow sailors stories as we did from our own experience. When you pick up a sailing magazine, sure you will review the technical stuff but it is the stories of people's travels and experiences and how they handled emergencies that is really interesting . Let's face it all Sailors are Romantics at heart. We have created a separate section in the site for these Tales. There is such a broad slice of sailing experience in our group it would be such a shame not to share all that hands-on experience. I know in the group we have different people who had done the Panama Canal, sailed all the Great Lakes, circumnavigated Vancouver Island and extensively cruised Mexico and the South Pacific. I've had friends that have written books about their sailing experience but the majority of us are not going to do that. Still maybe we could dictate a few of our tales so our experiences are preserved.
