Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well.

I suddenly have more time on my hands and decided it would be a good time to tackle this project.

As many of you know, Yahoo! stopped storing emails in the group online. Charlie was able to download the files in time and send them to me. The files are in email format and there is no program or previously-figured-out way of getting them into a searchable database, so I did the best thing I could think of. I was able to convert and edit the email files and import them into the database here on this forum. These emails date back to the mid 2000s, and they have a ton of old code in them that sabotages the code on this site if I import them without editing. I am running through and removing a lot of this code, but I simply won't be able to get it all out. So, the formatting is funny on some and there are some "gremlins" in some emails. They are still readable.

I've imported 8 batches so far and there are 45 total with around 1500 emails in each, so this is going to take some time.

The upside of all this is that now we have searchable access to 15 years of valuable (and some not so valuable) CAL info. If you're looking for info about a project or boat, you can go to the search bar on the top right of the screen and type in your keywords.
