Propane tank placement

Looking for any guidance on placing a 5 gallon propane tank on account 29 1972 vintage I am thinking about putting it next to the swim ladder and building a little platform out there I thought about putting it in the lazaret but I don’t want to drill any holes in the hole for drainage! Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Capn Ken,

I'm looking into putting a propane locker aft of the helm (pedestal) on my 2-29.
Something maybe like this Model # 183550 from West Marine. It would get the tanks
out of the cabin and give me a nice place to sit while driving. No detailed plan yet. Too
many other things that need to get taken care of.
