As someone brought up with celestial navigation I still find the night sky as a old friend with always something interesting to say.

Thank you for sending the images. I have been watching the planets getting closer but in the Great Lakes in this season, our default condition is "overcast." So last night it was. We had big wet flakes of snow falling. No planets visible on the shortest day.
